A collection of bulletins covering the period of January 1 through August 26, 1961, published by the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and only distributed to the Party cadres at the regimental level or above. The principle function of the bulletin was to speed the instructions of the Central Authorities and the Military Affairs Commission of the Party to high ranking cadres in the field, as well as report conditions in Army units and permit a wider exchange of working experience. It reports a frank and detailed account of conditions prevailing among the military rank and file, it reports on all major political-ideological conditions and socio-economic issues facing the Chinese nation.
