NSKK and NSFK: Uniforms, Organization and History (1994) By John R. Angolia and David Littlejohn
The NSFK was founded 15 April 1937 as a successor to the German Air Sports Association; the latter had been active during the years when a German air force was forbidden by the Treaty of Versailles. The NSFK organization was based closely on the para-military organization of the Sturmabteilung (SA). A similar group was the National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK). During the early years of its existence, the NSFK conducted military aviation training in gliders and private airplanes.
The formation of the NSKK and the NSFK are discussed and their employment to add the German military in motorized warfare. The book covers training and organization in each German district. Combat employment at the front in trying to equip the German unit with some sort of motorized transportation. As the war progress, you see units being integrated into the German army altogether.
