MAJOR RUFF looked at his guerilla force of jungle fighters with pride. His Roughnecks were the toughest bunch of fighting men ever to harry the Japs. Take Sergeant Nick Todd for instance. He could shoot his way out of any trouble, cool as you like. And if any Japs got too close, there was always his granite fists. No doubt about it, Nick was a real hero in Major Ruff's eyes.
 
But one Roughneck knew different-Sergeant Lucas. He'd seen Nick crack up in action. .. and kept his gun cocked to make sure he didn't do it again.
