The jungle was a dangerous place in 1943. Here a man had to trust his life to a friend, for the enemy dealt solely in death. Sergeant Bill Simes knew this but he wasn't sure if Lieutenant Simon Langley would live long enough to learn, as British, Japs and guerrillas played a deadly game of hide-and-seek in the hot and steamy no-man's-land between Burma and China.
